jimmy’s story

"I don't believe Muay Thai is just about creating fighters. I believe it's about helping ordinary people become healthier, more confident, and happier."

I'm Jim Chan, a half-Thai, half-Hong Kong Chinese, and I've been coaching since I was 20 years old. Throughout my journey, I've worked with people from all walks of life and discovered that the biggest victories don't happen in the ring—they happen when someone overcomes the fear of trying, gains confidence, improves their health, or finds the strength to become a better version of themselves.

Running my first gym taught me that great coaching is only part of the experience. People return because they feel supported, encouraged, and part of something meaningful. As my experience grew, I knew I wanted to build more than just another Muay Thai gym. Ranger Boxing Gym was created as a welcoming community where beginners feel comfortable, and families grow stronger together, children develop confidence and discipline, and busy professionals can escape daily stress while investing in their health.

Today, that vision is at the heart of everything we do. Every class is designed to help people build confidence, improve fitness, reduce stress, and create lasting friendships in a positive environment. Whether you're taking your very first class or continuing your fitness journey, my team and I are here to support you every step of the way.

Because at Ranger Boxing Gym, success isn't measured by how hard you can punch—it's measured by how much stronger, healthier, and happier you become.

Confidence. Fitness. Community.

Better Health. Happier Life.
